Objectives:
1) To strengthen institutional capacities of Duty bearers and decision-makers to develop, resource, and implement laws and policies that respond to the needs of adolescents
2)To enhance the access to quality SRHR information, safe education, and services for Adolescents at the risk of child marriages and teenage pregnancies
ACTIVITIES TO BE CONDUCTED
- Development of Regional CSOs scorecards of Articles 5 (Elimination of harmful practices), 6 (marriage), and 12 (Education)
- Development of the EAC Gender Policy Action Plan incorporating issues of child marriages and teenage pregnancies
- Support Partner states to validate and advocate for the assenting of the EAC Gender Equality, Equity, and Development Bill
- Support the EAC GBV working group to develop a one-year Workplan and key Regional and National advocacy activities on Teenage pregnancies and child marriage.
OUTCOMES
- Strengthened institutional capacities of Duty bearers and decision-makers in developing, resourcing, and implementing laws and policies that respond to the needs of adolescents
